Anatomy of pun intended

Tears,
morning dew descended..
Rain,
Swept it across the river
You..
Cry a bucket.
washing ashore the salty stream of your heart.
It's powerful
It's refreshing
especially
with the believe
nothing happen without it
You risk it all
no matter what may come.

Recap 2010

I did this religiously every year and I think it is important that I do it every year...

Just finish reading past few years recap.. damn.. was my life a discolor or something this year..

well... as I told Khoo's fren the other da.. it was about 30% colour 70% B&W for 2010..

1) The beginning of the year seems to be good as I thought I would get a good head start with my new found love and relationship. Well.. it didn't last of course and it was a good learning experience.
Some memories are good and sweet and some are not so good.

2) I am the most lazy at work for 2010.. WTF...Well, work harder 2011..

3) I did lotsa running and cycling activities and events.. All are just not what I planned for.. anyway it happen lotsa of it right after my break off..

4) Fuck the century ride.. cramp like hell.. double fuck the Broga hill ride.. triple the torturous cramp and where is my medal?

5) I finished quite a few decent runs and 3 half marathon.

6) Am happy I finally purchase a phone and a camera that is good for all outdoor conditions.

7) Hypertension manifestation that cause my nose blood vein to rupture.. could have took my life..That was really spooky.

8) My circles of running frens and facebook running ppl increases.. hmm.. birds of the same feathers they said.

9) Glad some of my frens pick up running and cycling.

Well..lotsa other things are quite mediocre.. how tasteless.. I will revenge next year by making it more interesting next year!!

Let's recall some memories

These are the medals at hand.. except for the 2009 PD tri.. the rest happen this year. Some races only got certs or due to the fact that I wasn't fast enuff to beat to get the limited medals.. hmm..there is one Broga medal which I feel I so righteously deserve is not here.. ah well..shit happen.. let it be let it be..
*This is my 3 half marathon ran this year. The first is being Setia eco run, which I did run well. Thanks to the rain as well. Then standard chartered which I suffered a stitch and came in 5 minutes later than the Setia record... prolly too much water and my fault for eating hearty porridge breakfast. Then the Penang marathon that I managed to change to half due to my hypertension. That was the walk run lah.. a lazy run indeed..
* This 3 will be memorable medals as I did this with my ex. Well, we did ran another two other races together that gave only cert.
Now the left medal is PD tri 2009 relay which I DNF at the swim due to bad flu.. then the next square one is the relay we done this year..
The two bronze medals are relay for Powerman which I did both the running leg and Lam cycle. Well, forever remember the second leg running under the hot scorching sun with Khoo the lethal boot camp sergeant "motivating" all the way. That was fun...

Yes!! I did my first virgin cycling century ride ever on 1st August. A really good one and will be forever remembered..Nice medal too
These are few of the grassroots run.. nice medals of all different shape.. Klang pacer's medal stand out to be fine crafted and beautiful indeed. and u got a momento of figurine instead of medal for the Nike 10km run.
This is hooha 5km which I thought I could run over to run this race after the Nike run.. but get over there oredi ppl almost finish the run.. and the goodie bag got the medal.. so nice lah as a 10.10.10 momento medal.. hehe..
This one.. this one is a beast... I ran 31km for this and really kaput after 7 hours. Did another 1km to keep Mr. Lam motivated.. so total should be 32km lah..Hehe..

This is a beast because I still am yet to recover after 16 days of walking like a cripple and cost me a bomb to see doctor. Well, I will definitely be back for revenge next year and wise up a little bit..

Nokia 3720

I bought the Nokia 3720 from Thailand during my recent working trip there. It wasn't really a pleasant experience and surprisingly for the first tiem I dint even massage in Thailand. How unusual. All thanks to the Melaka walk which left my left leg really cripple. It got so bad since last Tuesday..

and on Thursday I finally succumb and went to pharmacy and bought the medicine and trip and bang so loud that the security guard came and check me out. Then he insisted I the wheelchair.. Sitting on a wheelchair and make myself thru to the food court. What a perculiar experience that is!! Nevertheless it was kind of fun..ahaha..

So at least I got this phone that I was looking up and down for. It wasn't available in Malaysia sadly. It is a simple phone.. only thing is this is a tough phone which surprisingly doesn't seems to package like one that is rugged. Straightforward.. There yellow sideline are not available and only this grey plain one is available ania. No choice....at least it it dustproof, waterproof and drop proof with passing the IE85 standard.

I did a test myself on the first day and put it in the basin tab that is fill with at least 8cm of water..Perfect!!

Then Lam put it into the ice-water bucket and somehow the fogging does slip in to the inside panel. Took me awhile with the hair dryer to dry it out.. but still work great!!

Now next to the pic is my beloveth Nokia 5130 which gave way on 21 Nov during Penang half Marathon. Couldn't revive it due to heavy rain. Maybe I could send to for a quick fix and see how much it cost. At least it did last me a year...

So now I could do my outdoor without much worry for weather condition on my phone and camera.. hehe..

Check out how it was abuse in youtube and yes... it was run over by car too to test it durability..

Hopefully this phone will last me along time.... Let see how tough it could go..

EE JI BAN RESTAURANT AT MELAKA RAYA

Now I hardly comment about food that is really bad.. just ignore it..but this this one..

ITS LIKE PUTTING SHIT INTO YOUR MOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is how digusting I felt about this two weeks ago when I was down for the 12 hours Melaka walk. Was jam for like 2 hours plus from the Ayer Keroh toll. Walking to Jonker street is not an option as we are kind of running out of time as we parked in Melaka Raya.

So I told Lam we should just eat here. Of course Ole sayang and Makko offer a good choice for Nyonya dishes but we would want to skip it due to the walk we have to endure the whole night.

A simple chicken rice balls will cut the deal as Lam had never tried before. Therefore we saw this heavily self promoted chicken rice ball shop and decided to give it a shot.

It got halal cert. ler... There weren't much ppl coming here to eat. and later those that pop in are mostly first timer by the way they ask questions and looking at the menu.

I tell u.. I had the most lousiest Melaka Rice ball to date.. Really cannot eat one!! The chicken are cremation-ready... smack it so thin.. you wouldnt believe how long have this chicken been kept!! and cold as ice.. Really go try and see!! If you strike 3 millions in lottery and decided how your day could be spoilt at the same time. Go eat this restaurant stuff.

We ordered individual dishes of vegetable and also sambal prawn petai.

You know usually for that kind of price they charge.. Those dish got to be freshly cook here and then as the same we dine in most chinese restaurant disregard it is halal or not as from chinese culinary. This one the vege was precook and like those economic rice one. and charge us the premium price. This is too much man!!

The petai sambal prawn.. yucks!! Wanna puke man the petai.. The prawn also not fresh oredi.. u can chew the lemikness to the max!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really spoilt nyonya cuisine.

In fact when the waitress came and give us the balance of change. I told her to tell the boss about all our comment. I told her I had never eaten Melaka chicken rice ball as worst as this.

It self promoting shitty marketing really a big phony!!

So if you decided to make ur nightmare as worst as it can.. come and eat lah at this EE JI BAN restaurant!!

I am truly humiliated by such lousy cuisine that is authentically Melaka.. Shame of you!!

Awesome book!!

Running book has been quite a bored subject as bored as the motion of running itself. It is repetitive and as one of the book in the Bible that keep on saying there is nothing new under the sun.

Bingham really get me into Penguin mode and mediocre stuff so its got this bad image of running book slam on my face everytime I try to figure out which running book to get. Well, u might argue Karno stuff.. it will kick you to admire that Greek fler and wanted to be like him.

But I am talking about writing stuff that is editor-love-story-telling thingy. Apart from that, about wandering into more that routine stuff.. spiritual and the holistic history of running make you easy and confidence in running. Despite whether it will advocate you to barefoot running or not, this book will take you into a fresh paradigm that hit you so hard that you wouldn't know it by the time you flip the next page. It knock and inject into your subconscious like a subliminal tape. Yup, you gotta have the passion for running to identify the depth of this book... IMHO of course.

There are still 100 pages to chew thru and I hope Chris McDougall has more of his flashy story style twice of that of Malcolm Gladwell will come out with more.

It a book you would not want to miss at all if you found so much in running and joy in doing it.

It's kinda like lapping the timeline for next greater height for human in running history.

I think this book is cooking up the volume like never before and Kinokuniya has 1000% more copies than the other running book or similar sports stuff.

It will tame your wildest imagination and let it make sense and I-knew-it and I-told-you-so if you always have this ultimate cracking zen to certain running doubts or answers.

Get a copy and your brain will love it for it with the soul refreshing reading.
