I went to Midvalley yesteday with my Za. Had lunch there and checked out the Sony DSLR roadshow. The main thing for me is to test out the new entry level A200. Beside I get to try out the SSM 2.8 300mm.. The bloody RM 28K wide lens.. It's a bit pussy as compare with those of Canon..
So.. what I don't really like about the A200 is the plastic quality is inferior as of those of Canon 350D. The button pressing feel is not as good as A100. I wonder what kinda BIONZ chips are they using? The scrolling of picture is damn bloody slow..even slower than those of KM5D for heaven sake. So that is the cut back perhasp to lower down the production cost I guess. For a price of RM1999.00 with kit lens and RM 2499 with twin lens.. First, that makes competitor really hate them and second the existing Alpha user hates them as well. Guess my Alpha gonna cost RM800- 900 sooner or later. .Woe to those who wants to sell their A100 away now. That is bloody pathetic.
What I like about this A200? The screen colour and that extra pixels certainly make this screen looks good. The exposure of the built in flash is quite accurate.. prolly with the kit lens gua...
What I really really like about the A200... BLOODY fast motor liao.. even with the 75-300mm 4.5-5.6 , this baby does focus faster...
yet.. this is not what I am looking for at this moment..
So the flagship model going to be out by end of the year. It won't be another 6 months or close to year to see the drastic drop in price. O my Alpha A100... thou shalt serve thy master as long as takes..
so Mr. Chae and me could wack our own tester ante mach 10 ALL the way.
Oh.. we had steamboat yesterday. His son Isaac is as cheeky as ever now ever since enlisted into the kindy. Mr Yeong picked me up for the steamboat at the regular Choong Huat in Taman Ulay lah.. We kinda like fueling our stomach with gallons of soup. What a thirsty hippo!
