While everyone jumped to the Pdaphone bandwagon. I still believe in playing it with both hands. Yea.. I am not talking bout boob job here. Just a separate unit between phone and pda. Yet, I think the new release of the HTC series will come quite close that I will be comfortable with pdaphone..meanwhile, separate them is the best options for me.
At first, I was thinking of getting a new Core2duo notebook and get on with life. Then I reflect what I have..2 pcs in my room.. 1 at downstair and my notebook occupying space in the office and shhing ppl away from the desktop when I need a bigger screen. Now.. that is awesome load of disposal for me.
I want a pdaphone but the current best is still not to what I believe it could be..but real soon I guess..yet the price doesnt justify it ler as it will skydive its price faster than you thought.
Ok.. The Pocket PC has been on my list for sometime now..
Those day I started with the PALM OS.. boy.. mine one that time got colour one u know.. !! It cost one huge grand.. then the ipaq3600 blew my head away!! So I sold some decent printers and in exchange for a reward from my boss a ipaq3600 ..price at RM1688.00 that time. Well, it wasnt long a colleague was playing some kungfu flick and incidentally drop my ipaq and broke the screen.. kaput.. RM400 for the repair..then not so long ago.. another time the screen broke...but that time was just internal bleeding and cost me RM280.00 ..
Before long the Ipaq battery juice out!! Out came the stylo 3860 series and it could slot SDCARD babe..... A 256MB was deem as god urself oredi. I thought if only I wait a little while longer...
It didn't happen.. until quite sometime I get on with life..and the opportunity to get a rx3715 was mine to grab at a very good price.. ahehehe.. the HX4700 was launch along with it.. making the big huuhaa as the best business pda with true VGA screen that time. It was way beyond my budget!! Standing at about RM 2500.00 that time.. what a killer..
But I was very happy with the rx3715 and it serve me rather well. The best part is that it has this nevo remote control pre-install. one hellavu good function!! You could program your remote control and use ur pda as your tv, astro and VCD/DVD remote control.
So those day when the mamak was switching between Star Sports and ESPN which favour MU supporters over Liverpool...there I quietly make the M U fans upset.. The mamak was really surprise how come the channel change...but later I was caught also lah.. you gotta held the device high what..
And about last year I do not know how HP going to survive the competition ... as PDA standalone unit is rather "old fashion" now. But it still believe in those hardcore old-fashion flers outwhere and came out with the Business Enterprise PDA the 212 model. I was so excited that time as when it could hit out shore...waited and waited.. it suppose to launch.. and delayed..and prolly it might not hit out shore..what?
But it does lah at a very long long time.. and the price is insanely at RM1299.00... damn and the lansi lowyat HP shop dont even wanna open up the box!! WTF..only see it from outside the box.. You thought some toy meh...at least toy box has tiny transparent square you could peep into..
So I was damn pissed and give it up...
Until recently I saw a good offer for the aging HX4700... ahahha...my day has come I thought..
Yes.. these day if you thought your day has come..be real paranoid and grab it..
So I did..
I bought it yesterday and was mingle with it all day until this morning 5am..
The upgraded WM5 to this unit tend to have some hiccup or the registry problem.. So i downloaded the new latest ROM and flash it...
Not satisfy with that... I look up for developer WM6.1 forums and got it download ler..
There were of course lotsa options to choose from the developer site.. so i have to suffer all night and catch up reading tonnes of reply for the forums and filter the last few options..
Then the bootloading of flash and all that is taking up chunk of time..
So the next thing is to seach for my long lost bluetooth GPS unit.. where the hell are you?
