The past 72 hours

I slept for less than 10 hours for the past 72 hours. The sensation begins to sink in today... You need some rest man. It was lotsa running and getting work done and done it should be. But thank God for the internet which make much of my work easier these day. Now I lay myself to rest to really enjoy my blogging.

First, Congrats to Barca and hmm to Arsenal? Champions League is the culprit behind my sleeplessness. But Satan spell is broken with Barca taking the lead. I think I could pull few more hours..

Yesterday, me, mum and my aunt went over to granpa place. Yea, the house gonna be demolish real soon..probably in about a month time. I am gonna miss this place. So much of a memories...at least granma got to breath her last breath there. I ask aunt how long has this house been? Forty years at least... My youngest aunt bf was around.. Lim as we address him, all the way from Klang just to see my aunt. Nice guy from my opinion. Always with his smile.. The usual stuff was not there. Mum has not been to this place for sometime now eversince "the saga begins".. At least she came back to see my granny before she breath her last breath. Aunt still kept the silk I bought for granny. Granny got it tailored later and go around telling people I bought the material from Beijing. You can imagine how will people think your grandson tak berapa beli barang kat u ler? :P Aunt asked me had I ever seen my granpa photo before? Nope, never ever.. I was really curious..damn curious.. what could he look like? Heard he died of tuberculosis. Dad didn't talk much about it. When I was back to China in 97..I know where and who grave only up the hill. Use to be the other side of the relative had a chinese calligraphy book written by grandpa. Man, I heard he is a real scholar... Bloody good calligraphy you know. Me, I had to stay back in school to do my calligraphy because the teacher think that my cat wrote it. Well, that is how close I know about him..yea his handwritting is good. Aunt said granny kept his photo in her purse.. I really want to see it.. maybe he want to show me in the absentee of my current grandpa. People always ask why I am surname Tan and My other aunt and uncle is Goh. I really dun give a damn.. I believe in the brotherhood of man.. like the nigger. What I am more curious is there is photos of me when I am small...in lake garden. Aunt said will let me see once everything is more settle in the new place. Boy, am I glad? I wanna do some compilation of my own this time. Kinda late but at least I do capture some flashback.

Flashback..

I remember how this place use to be.. I love this place because there is tonnes of freedom here. I don't have to be jailed in that terrace house. I love to come back to granny house because there is freedom and I got friends here. Beautiful places.. How do you get here those day? Simple. Go past Kuen Ching Gal school..keep to your left.. and there is the entrance just 300 metres before the entrance to Thean Hou temple. Another 250 metres away...tar road will be at the end. U actually had to cross the road along the small river slanting...so u gotta walk like a snake along the riverside sandy walk. I just love it. Granny house is about 200 metres away.

Granny will make it two half boiled eggs and put in those typical porcelain cup with flower design. That is for breakfast. I will go around mixing with my friends around the neighbourhood then. The eldest of them all is "Fu Yen" ...I don't know what is that in hakka..used to square my eyebrow when I hear him speaking with his mum.. Her mum we used to call "chan sow" A very nice lady and use to gv me some stuff to eat at time. Then his husband is some fierce looking guy. But I got around easily with my cute little face ...hehe... and people call me " man man"...gosh I hate that name.. Some of my jokers buddies still coming around me with that name.. Then there was this Maggie who use to be my aunt close friend.. Really forget how she look like. Then behind my granny house which is now a temple use to be houses of two family. The most far right is the house of "Chee kong" sound like some virginity orgasm spare part yea... Chee Kong father is an ice-cream seller..those days ice cream vehicles are three wheels type ( *Ain't gonna get that anymore mossie:P ). His dad as I remembered is a horrible guy. Wack and quarrel with Chee Kong's mum all the time. Chee Kong younger uncle is a very devoted buddhist. Sit down and meditate most of the time. I really wonder what they got into that time. Chee Kong had two sisters..One elder and one younger. Elder one always took the blame.. The younger one is a super aggressive retard child. So you can imagine how the life of this family is like. Chee Kong's mum pass away some years ago. A week before she pass away, she actually told my granny that she dreamt of paper made houses and cars. Hmm..now I think she gotta watch DVD and astro from friend house. After she passed away, the family of course in a chaos. The last time I saw Chee Kong was some years ago during chinese new year. He was into some tourism stuff I heard in Sg. Life wasn't easy.. Of course I was always the object of comparison. Yea, the bad boy always give you extra topic on comparison. Chee Kong is quite close to me as we are almost the same age. I later understand why his moodiness at time.. Now the next door to Chee Kong is Ah Song's family.

Ah Song's family.. I still remembered them. One happy family. They live by selling vegetables in those lorry moving for area to area. Later they moved to Cheras. The last I saw Ah Song and wife last year during some relative son's wedding. Almost most of them in my category had got married. Hehe.. what can I do? They are still selling vegetables to these day. Their sons ..two of them ... The elder is older than me and the youngest is younger than me. Always the spoilt brat...cried to get attention ...the granny with the thick spec will always defend him.. Then her elder sister.. which I do not have total interest to know, coz my hormone has not evolve yet...far to early in the Jurassic age. Then as I remembered there is always a white elephant in their close. Huge fella.. I am always amaze why is that lollipop dangling and swinging from left to right. Sometime it give me that eerie feeling. I also remember that there is monkey being tied at tree near a kandang babi at the rear of the village. A bloody fierce type.. might just jaw out your balls.. Never ever get close at all. Then I also remembered me and Chee Kong set out one day to find the route of water flowing of the river stream. It was just a small hole galloping slowly fountain of water. How interesting...

Our favourite activities those day was to catch fish. Tadpoles are common.. man, aint this fella gonna be frog someday? that was years later only I realize from the textbook.. Then the common fish.. then also the "tongshat" the aggresive fish hiding in the muddy rock. It is not easy to catch..You gotta pook them.. and if kena bitten..sure deman one. So that is one of the best activities ever. Catch fish man.. I will sometime put that damn fish in the diesel tong which we use to get rain water. Granny and aunt will have headache every time I put tongshat inside it. They can be quite aggressive... making their way out should you do not cover them. Then there is well... yea.. we used to pumped water from a well not far away below.. Spooky again looking and how deep it can be and there are few houses actually get the same source of water from this well. My dad partner " fu yew" also live near the well. Never been to the house before.. as they are those typical hakka which leave me twisting my head of not understanding what they said. Later Fu Yen went and work and Singapore and Chee Kong sometime was busy with homework. Heard he went Singapore to do mooncake.

Back many years ago.. we had a well in our own house before we share the common well... that well have to be self-pump you know... But was left out after sometime.. Before Tenaga actually provide us electricity, we had to pump some gas lantern. You can see in everyone. You pour the minyak tanah in a hole.. and light match and the burning source at the centre.. pump and pump..letting out a hissing sound.. usually hang at the front door of the house..Enough to supply light to the living room. I sleep with granny and auntie. Her room also got this cute little lamp.. Light up and there is some "pretty" China lady pictures behind It. You really wonder who tell hell is this Shanghai bitch... ALso there is my photo hanging on the wall with another gal beside. Wonder who she is .. Amber Chia maybe? I can't wait to see some of the nostlagic photos later..

Beside our house is a rambutan tree. It does not bear fruits anymore. I remembered once during CNY, we actuallly twist the kingcat and throw up it up and got it hang on the tree.. Better than fireflies in Kuala Selangor. Talking about that.. wish to go there again..Now I can photo it with my FX30..

There are still enormous memories here.. gotta call it a day now on those memories.

I just paypal for my wide angle and telephoto lens..Hope it arrived before my trip up to Fraser's.. Finally I have give in to temptation. Anyway, you wanna be good in photography right?

I actually finish the whole tube of pringles and a litre of water as I finish this blog.. RM3.00 Promosi kat kedai runcit bawah. Not bad this sour cream and onion.
