Went for a Sport Massage today at Equal Fitness at Sooka Sentral. After reading it in cycling Asia, I knew someday I would need their service. Price at RM80.oo an hour. The price is a bit steep lah for a general worker like me. Also sometime not easy to book lah this place.
Finally got to get down to it as my light thigh is rather sore and slightly painful in the vein. It prolong a little bit and these few days after some ride is a little out of hand.
It was a rather unique massage and only 30% identifiable with the massage outside. My soreness gone after the massage..wow.. not too bad.. Someday maybe after some tiring ride and persist soreness.. maybe I would pay them a visit again.
Then as I was doing some posting at Poslaju.. I locked my key in the car.. so clever indeed.. Took the LRT back.. and walked all the way from Wangsa Maju backed home. Took a shower and walked back to Wangsa Maju LRt StATION after I got the key. So reached about 9pm...
Off Lah I went to MidValley to watch this highly anticipated movie. FengXiaoGang movie.. big budget mainland movie like never before.. it was a close to three hours marathon movie and indeed earn most of my tears the last part.. damn kau touching.. ahahah..
Prior to that, the last FengXiaoGang movie I watch is the Assembly, still recalled most of the scene.. Splendid cinematography.. setting the standard in this movie is geng.. Sometime u dont realize how the camera works suck ur brain and grasp the 16:9 feeding to your brain like an awesome resonant of colour that u are in unison with the work. You will be marvel with FXG works because of such fine presentation.
The movie does not dwell a lot of the earthquake itself.. it was a good title as in english Aftershock.. which small minor earthquake after major one.. is in here portraying the after effect and impact it had towards life.
FXG's movie could never detached from the historical timeline and telling of the history in motion.. a little part of shared similarity in rather peculiar repercussion such as Ridley Scott himself.
You will see indirect attribution of timeline of history smackdown in a subliminal passive manners.. yet is so beautifully chereograph..
As oppose to KaiGe "Alive" where Gong Li reigned as a more peasant-like figure being washed away with the tide of time.. Aftershock focus mainly more on baby-buster generation which I can identify with.. After all, this story happen in the year I was born.. I was still sucking pacifier then when quake claimed the life of 240k as the figure is rather astonishing.
There are few dialog which will give you some outburst of laughter.. unless you are dumbass who could not perceive dry humour.. it will just walked past you.. Sometime there are quite a number of ppl that share the same sentiment in front of the big screen.
It goes to show what true love is plain and simple and innocent loading with mix filling of fear, insecurity and blah blah of the other side of the coin.. yet the courage to love surpass all in the end. It also remind me of the recent Philippine's cop that went amok.. and killing in the bus.. a man who love his wife and willing to sacrifice his life for her.
Well, someday when the skin turn prune.. then that initial chemistry fade away.. it is the decision to love that matters..
"Give and take"..that was the first time that utter from the husband of the oldest marriage happy couple in England. It isn't as easy as it seems isnt it? it is easy when you start doing it..
Now to digress a little.. since the movie has to link with death..
I would like to you to take a look at Prof. Randy Pausch inspire Graduate as he draw near to his death :-
How beautiful is these simple word of wisdom... trememdous apprehension in life..
Now .. back to the movie.. within the span of 30 over odd years, you will see the facts of life that is so true washing away by the tide of time. How communism sovereign and propaganda a China that pour all its understanding the brotherhood and sisterhood that gotta every to work as one..
Of course the usual Public Liberation Army for the fact play a big role during Mao era in succeeding greatness as a nation. A
There is one particular scene that is mundane and sub-culture is the day the death of Chairman Mao.. The scene was cleverly crafted from a documentary testament instead of blowing the whistle of Mao greatness.. Judge it yourself kinda de facto.
Within a span of 30 years, we see in the blink of an eye the after pounding of culture revolution before hand.. towards building a new China. Fong dictate certain humorous sarcasm as that of our belate Yasmin Ahmad..
There is the part mentioning about the rubbish that university that is being produce.. wide laughter in the cinema.. can u imagine that was burst out in the 80's era.. and is it Fong purposely ridicule the current education system. Well, well play I would say.. well play indeed.
Maybe you will see a part of yourself in this movie or share it in other people life that is closely related..
Again, Aftershock is a movie that is not to be miss in 2010..
Try to catch some funny line along the way...
"Small earthquake don't have to run... big earthquake run also no use"... how profound...
I am in no interest to elaborate further .. go watch the movie yourself..
